Essay #18- Forgiveness

Forgiveness: There Is Only so Much Forgiveness A Person Can Give Out

1. To forgive and forget the simple mistakes that people have done is easy. 2. To forgive and forget the largest and most powerful mistakes is a very complicated thing to do. 3. We can forgive ourselves for our small mistakes. 4. Although, we must not hold in our mistakes until we burst.

TS Some people can't change who they are, they can't change their looks, they can't change their personality, and they can't change their actions (tricolon). SD Because of Bob Ewell having such a lack of manners it passed onto his daughter. CM As a child, Mr. Ewell could have had the same situation of non-supportive parents. CM If that is the reason, it might be easier for Mayella to forgive her father. SD If I was Mayella I don't think I would ever be able to forgive my father for beating me. CM Mr. Ewell needs to learn how to control his drinking so he does not beat her. CM Mr. Ewell can't use the excuse of being drunk every time when he beats her. SD If they had such a thing as rehab I would, as his daughter, send him there. CM Mayella is a very weak girl who can't cope with her father's strength when he is beating her. CM She can't possibly forgive her father the way he betrayed (apt thesaurus word) her. CS If Mayella's lifestyle was different she probably wouldn't be like her father and betray Tom Robinson.

TS There are some people can never be forgiven. SD Hitler is one of those people who will never be forgiven, never forgotten for his horrible actions, never forgotten for the amount of evil he has done to the world, never forgotten by the people he hurt (tricolon). CM You usually want to be remembered by something good you did to help out in the world. CM Hitler thought he did something good, but it was completely immoral to the world. SD Hitler believed that Jews, homosexuals, physically handicapped, and mentally challenged people needed to be exterminated. CM Hitler killed about 11-14 million people while not understanding that they were just like him except they had different beliefs. CM Hitler should never be forgiven because he killed a fraction of the world's population. SD Would it be different if Hitler had not done this horrific (apt thesaurus word) thing to the people of our world? CM It would be like he never broke up millions of families and killed millions of people. CM We can't undo all of the gas camps that killed all different races of people. SD He has left a permanent scar on the planet that will never be forgotten or forgiven. CM To forgive your friend for a small mistake she made is nothing. CM To forgive and try to forget Hitler is impossible. CM Millions of children died with or without their parents. CM The children will never be able to grow up and get married and have their own families. CS It's not possible to ever forgive and forget Hitler for all of the lives he ruined and killed.

1. Because of the outraging things Hitler has done we cannot control our anger towards him. 2. He enjoyed seeing fear in the eyes of the people he was destroying. 3. Was it possible that he was neglected? 4. Neglect should never lead up to this level of cruelty to the citizens of this planet that we all have to share.

Cassy,
This is a good essay. I really enjoyed your tricolon. Your CS is a little confusing though, I think you should revise it. Also, the second CM of the second SD is also confusing and that too should be revised.

Cassy,
I enjoyed reading your tricolons, both of them was very powerful. There are a few parts that you might want to look over because the wording is a little confusing. If you go back and read each sentence to make sure they sound clear and crisp, your essay will sound much better.
